Kentucky Training Center In 1983 we chose Louisville, Kentucky as base for our corporate headquarters due to its central location for our Training Center and on-site shipping operations. We offer a schedule of courses available for individual enrollment when on-site training is not a practical solution for our customers. A CASE STUDY Problem: This manufacturing facility was in the process of a new vehicle launch and required training on various manufacturing applications. They also needed assistance with establishing in-house training courses staffed by their own instructors. Solution: Intellect Controls Group provided on-site training on Industrial Hydraulics and Allen-Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500, 1336 VFD, 1394 GMC Motion, DeviceNet and PanelView applications. Many of the courses were extensively customized to include coverage of their manufacturing applications thus improving the students on-the-job troubleshooting skills and reducing down time. Intellect provided train-the-trainer services to prepare Ford’s instructors to teach basic level courses on Allen-Bradley PLC-5 programmable controllers, as well as the curriculum for these classes. Outcome: The training was held on-site, but we also scheduled Ford Motor Company courses at our Kentucky Training Center, which allowed them to maximize use of their in-house training labs. We also assisted this facility with updating their existing industrial process control workstations and curriculum, and provided an instructor to deliver hands-on training utilizing their process control workstations.
